If you have never practiced or are new to Yoga and are interested in learning about the practice, modalities, poses and their meanings, then Japa Yoga Essentials is perfect for you! In the practice of Yoga, learning new things is even better than changing or adjusting old habits.
The sessions are a combination of in-person physical assessment, plus self-assessment questionnaires to understand your body type and patterns.
Based on the results, you will learn and practice the form and foundation with refining cues of over 40 Yoga poses and variations, including modifications specially adjusted to your level of flexibility and mobility. Each session will guide you to a safe and conscious yoga practice.
You will now be armed with the approach of Yoga. You will understand about the elements, the benefits of chanting OHM and breathing exercises, the correct performance of the poses according to the biomechanics and your body type so that, in the future, you may join a Yoga studio or have your own regular practice with confidence and purpose.
Note: For optimized results, it is recommended a minimum of 4 sessions.
